Another attempt to consolidate the "jihadists" in Syria

Saudi Intelligence chief, Bandar bin Sultan, has been frantically running between Tel Aviv and Washington with big plans up his sleeves.   After several failed attempts in the past, the GCC, Israel, Turkey and the AL have again ganged up and begun working on a new project for Syria.  They have raised $6 billion for assisting seven little-known Syrian "jihadi" groups to form a coalition called Islamic Front or IF to oust the Syrian government and set up a caliphate in the country.

IF has approximately 45,000 fighters consisting of Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Islam, Suqour al-Sham, Liwa al-Tawhid, Liwa al-Haqq, Ansar al-Sham and the Kurdish Islamic Front.   Washington seems quite delighted.  Since none of these groups are officially in its terror list, the U.S. doesn't need to be secretive of its support for IF.  It also considers IF "moderate" compared to AQ which, of course, is far from true.  Furthermore, the White House is greatly comforted by the thought that monetarily $6 billion raised to help IF is "pocket change" compared to at least $6 trillion that would be drained out of the U.S. treasury if the U.S. was to carry out a military intervention in Syria.

The team players are hoping that IF will successfully challenge the growing influence of Al-Nusra, Daash and Islamic State of Levant - the 3 major AQ groups active in Syria.  If that happens, it might be to the advantage of the Syrian Arab Army with frequent and heavy infighting between the radicals, but the civilian death toll could spike threefold.  The emergence of IF also confirms the dumping of the so-called Council of Free Syrian Army which was seen as having no support within its terrorist comrades.  It's yet to be seen how FSA might react to being shoved aside as a pariah after being courted by the West with so much 'love and trust.'

It's funny to think that in 2010, the U.S. and Israel confidently stated that Al-Qaeda was "on the ropes," weakened and close to collapse.   AQ couldn't have imagined in its wildest of dreams that it would be pampered the following year by those very folks who gleefully predicted its collapse and be given Libya as an attractive gift along with plenty more money and weapons!  And now in 2013, the U.S. and Israel are desperately retracting their steps, busy finding and strengthening an opponent to destroy their Frankenstein.

Amidst the abounding optimism, Netanyahu is struck with a bout of depression .. a constant setback to his high spirits.  While he is joyous watching Muslims killing each other in Syria, he is awfully anxious over Hezbollah's growing strength, it's steady victories over AQ in Syria and its friendly coordination with Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.

Nah, no "moderates" please.  These are the same thugs as Al-Nusra and Daash.
Nah, no "moderates" please. These are the same vicious loafers & killer-drifters as Al-Nusra and Daash.
