Warsaw conference: Another Trump sponsored failure to isolate Iran

To cheer up TelAviv, Trump tried it again. He called for a summit in Warsaw (Poland) inviting more than 50 countries to gang up with Washington for a consolidated tough policy to completely isolate Iran. Instead, at the conclusion of the meeting, US ended up getting isolated.

Earlier in January 2019, UK, France and Germany had already agreed upon a financial framework to ignore re-imposition of US sanctions and keep the 2015 Iran nuclear deal workable. European leaders had no appetite to participate in this recent gangsterism at Warsaw. Most EU countries sent their low-level diplomats, some didn't send any one at all. Attendance was embarrassingly poor. Mr. Pence's frustration only worsened the situation when he began chastising his European allies for lack of cooperation, making it too obvious that he was forcing them to do something they didn't want to do. The Warsaw forum ended with the US getting snubbed and widening its split with EU allies while the Iranians carried on with their shopping spree at Tehran's Grand Bazar.
