Battle of al-Qadam in South Damascus between Syrian Army and self-proclaimed ISIL

Al-Qadam is a small municipality in south Damascus, next to Yarmouk, with several ISIL hideouts.  After Al-Nusra, Jaysh and Failaq began preparing for evacuation in eastern Ghouta, ISIL in Qadam staged an attack on them.  Some mainstream sources are attempting to misrepresent this episode as a joint operation by Syrian Army and ISIL against the "Syrian rebels" (nothing could be more hilarious), downplaying the fact that at present the Syrian army is engaged in a fierce battle against ISIL.

ISIL attacked its comrades ("Syrian rebels") in eastern Ghouta to prevent them from initiating peace negotiations with the Syrian government.  This was confirmed by SouthFront and also by all local sources and witnesses.  Not that Al-Nusra and Jaysh have ever been interested in peace, they were compelled to surrender because their defenses were overrun by the Syrian army.  It was ISIL's way of taking a precautionary step, warning its associates that if they ceased confronting the Syrian army, ISIL would target them.  An effort to sabotage the evacuation and continue the fight against Damascus, it re-confirms yet again the common goal of all AlQaeda factions within Syria.

In the battle of al-Qadam, Syrian forces are assisted by the Palestinian Liberation Army (PLA) based in Yarmouk refugee camp for decades.   After heavy shelling and airstrikes, SAA and Palestinian fighters began a ground invasion. The battle is going well for SAA and thus the eerie silence from ISIL-linked media, Amaq.  But it's been tough for both sides.    According to Al-Masdar, Syrian army and their allies have lost 100 fighters in the last 4 days, and at least 200 ISIL terrorists have been killed.

Al-Qadam is ISIL's last enclave near Damascus.   If InshAllah, SAA wins, ISIL will be fully annihilated from this region .. exposing Trump's empty boast to have purged Syria of ISIL.

Take a look at the following fabulous videos on Syrian army's ground invasion against ISIL at al-Qadam.
