Experienced animal trainers of a research group in Tehran are training dogs to help children with autism.  Autistic children often experience isolation.  Dogs, through their affection and concern, can be great companions for autistic kids and assist them regain their self-confidence.
Service dogs in many parts of the world are trained for this purpose, helping children improve social interactions, communication skills and reduce anxiety.  It's the latest method for treating autism in various developed medical centers around the world.
The same pilot project in Tehran is also training dogs to take care of the blind and deaf.
