Why is U.S. suddenly prowling around British politics?

It's no secret that Mr. Corbyn is disliked by American officials no less than their dislike for Syyed Ali Khamenei, Hassan Nasrullah or Nicolas Maduro.

He is the only politician in the West (and one of the very few in the world) who is plainly against exploitation, war, occupation and injustice ... loud and clear.  Latest opinion polls show Labour's support under Mr. Corbyn's leadership has surged.  At 22%, it has leapfrogged Tories by 3 points and trailing behind Brexit by only 4 points.  Mr. Corbyn is particularly popular among the country's millennials.

General elections in U.K. scheduled for 2022, America is nervously monitoring the rise of Britain's Labour leader.   If  Jeremy Corbyn makes it to 10 Downing Street could be a disaster for U.S. deep state and its allies.  Two days ago he was avidly lambasted by Brit Conservatives for saying there was no "credible evidence" of Iran behind tanker attacks.

Mike Pompeo has recently been caught on tape telling American Jewish leaders that he would stop Mr. Corbyn from becoming prime minister.  His exact words:  "push back" against Labour's leadership.  This isn't just interference, it's a rude threat ... pathetically shameful!   Adding insult to injury, other western countries that are quick to show themselves off as champions of 'democracy' haven't uttered a word of condemnation of Pompeo's gangster-like comment.

By the way, in his recent visit  to the UK,  Donald Trump's endorsement for U.K.'s next PM was Boris Johnson (Tories) and Nigel Farge (Brexit party), both hardline rightist bigots and Islamophobes like himself.
