Senior journalist and editor of  The Kashmiriyat News outlet in occupied Kashmir, Qazi Shibli, was arrested on July 25, 2019.   Soon after, other members of the staff were also called for questioning at the police station.   Later they were released but the detention of Qazi Shibli continued without citing any reasons.    Few days on, when Shibli's brother carried lunch for him to the police station, Shibli told him to fetch a bottle of drinking water for him.  When his brother returned, Shibli was missing.   He was told that Shibli was taken to the downtown police station.  His brother rushed there but he wasn't in the downtown detention center either.    Since then Shibli's family and  The Kashmiriyat staff have been looking for him everywhere.  He is nowhere to be found and the police won't give any information.   His family and well wishers have been beside themselves with worry.   Rumors arose that Shibli was taken outside Kashmir to Agra.  His family immediately called Agra police station but were told Shibli wasn't there.

Qazi Shibli is an erudite journalist with keen insight.  Apparently sensing the menacingly imminent lockdown, he posted a few tweets about it.  That certainly looks to be the reason Shibli was kidnapped by state-run barbarians who excel in inflicting a diversity of pain and anxiety on detainees and their families.  Please pray for the editor's safe return.

FYI, this is one of the thousands and thousands of disappearances of the Kashmiri people at the hands of government sponsored brutes.
