"Environmental protection" - Another pretext for robbing Palestinian land in occupied East Jerusalem

Israel is desperate to Judaize East Jerusalem as quickly as possible.  Silwan in East Jerusalem has been a beautiful little farming village in Palestine dating back to the 7th century. Lately, homes of hundreds of Palestinians in Silwan have been demolished with claims of 'protecting the environment.'  At least 500 more are awaiting demolition. Palestinian families have been going to court for the past 15 years, appealing to legally recognize Wadi Yasul in Silwan as 'residential.'  But the Zionist Green party  insists the village is "green" area.  In other words, warning  Palestinians they cannot build new homes and all old residences to be demolished.   Of course, receiving  compensation is a far cry.  Even the cost of demolition will not be reimbursed to these poor families left without a roof over their heads.

Injustice and depravity everywhere as far as the eye can see.   Planet earth was never an ideal place, but never as detestable as this.
