Sheikh Zakzaky's medical treatment thwarted by opposing forces

Iran has readily offered all necessary medical treatment to the imprisoned Sheikh Zakzaky of Nigeria.  Yet, when the  Nigerian government released him on bail for treatment on August 12, they sent him to India (of all places).  The conditions were so indescribably terrible --  filthy hospital, poor medical treatment, surrounded by Indian and Nigerian security personnel with discreet U.S. cooperation  -- that even the Nigerian prison felt better.  Reportedly Sheikh Ibrahim has decided to return to Nigeria after a stay of 96 hours in India.

Providing medical treatment to the Sheikh was a court order;  the federal government complied reluctantly.  According to court directives, proper arrangement and supervision of the Sheikh's medical treatment in a foreign country was wholly the responsibility of the government.   Instead, the government balked the entire process with obstacles, hassles, poor living conditions and heavy security escort constantly interfering with the Sheikh's medical treatment.   No wonder they sent Sheikh Ibrahim all the way to India instead of UK, France or Germany which are closer with far superior medical care.  In India it would be acceptable for the Nigerian government to manipulate and interfere.   In Europe it would not.  For the same reason, they didn't send him to Iran either.  Medical treatment was never Mr. Buhari's intention in the first place.  With little respect for an independent judiciary, he only wanted to use the court order to deepen the harassment and anxiety of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.

What a depraved bitch this Nigerian government is!
