Is it a good idea for Pakistan to play the policeman of the gulf Arab region because its treacherous and hedonistic leaders feel betrayed by their longtime masters in DC and TelAviv? Frantically looking for protection elsewhere, Saudis have lured Pakistan while Sisi is working to cajole Turkiye.
When a Saudi official was asked if Pakistan would be obliged to provide the kingdom with a nuclear umbrella, he replied “This is a comprehensive defensive agreement that encompasses all military means.” This impudent man also asserted that Saudi relations with India wouldn't be hindered by this pact and continue to strengthen. Devilish, to say the least!. Pakistan worked for its nukes and funded it with its own money. The indolent kingdom will now utilize it for their own security, and stand firm as a staunch ally of Pakistan’s arch enemy 😡
Except for the basic clause that “aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both,” the terms of this agreement are concealed as yet. But if it includes provisos such as Pakistan to be dragged into Saudi wars -- like in Syria and Yemen in which Saudi Arabia was instrumental in the past – would be another unspeakable calamity!
According to a US political analyst, Michael Kugelman, (quote) – “This pact would not deter India from attacking Pakistan. But with 3-key powers — China, Turkey, and now KSA — fully on [Pakistan’s] side, [Pakistan] is in a very good place.” That implies if India attacks Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, despite the defense pact, will do nothing as MbS is also a close ally of India.
Saudi Arabia is certainly the beneficiary, not Pakistan. If Israel bombs Saudi Arabia as it did to Qatar, Pakistan will be called by Riyadh to help. If it’s the other way round and India or Israel attack Pakistan, Saudis won’t come to assist. As a military force, Saudis have nothing of their own except what they get from the US. Saudis will never use US weapons against Israel and India, as both are close to DC.
With the kind of impunity Israel enjoys, if it views Pakistan as getting too influential in the ME, it will simply bomb Pakistan as it did to Iran. Of course MbS will do nothing. Thus the guesswork of Pakistani journalist, Iftikhar Firdous, as the pact being “symbolically powerful and strategically consequential .. direct deterrent to Israel” could be the opposite of the truth. Only time will tell. Right now India and Israel are in a bit of shock. White House too cannot think of clear answers. But it would be naïve to presume they wouldn’t be obtrusive, and MbS wouldn’t be seriously pushed about that.
Analyst Mushaid Hussein is starstruck with the aspect of Saudi money, quote “Saudi Arabia is not just any Muslim country but one of the richest countries in the world, with a strong diplomatic influence,” he said.
Of course Saudi Arabia is not a Muslim country.
Money-grubbers have already begun inviting Saudi investors to Pakistan .. the financial prosperity to be shared only between the entrepreneurs and the feudal moochers.

This deal was never about "attack on one, attack to both." That's only an official / public display of it. But Saudi kingdom isn't cutout for such promises. There's none who wouldn't know that. The oil rich gulf slaves of US were jolted when Israel bombed Doha. They felt betrayed by their best friend. The purpose of this pact was only to have Pakistan as a standby to help, just in case. But if it's the other way round, the kingdom won't help, instead, in lieu of being there as a standby Pakistan would steadily be granted attractive monetary benefits. Pakistan accepted that as a fair deal, knowing that it's very unlikely Saudi Arabia will be attacked. Moreover, while Pakistan would be of big value to the Saudis in case of need, the incompetent Saudi fighters would only be a liability for Pakistan while facing foreign aggression.
